In searching for the right product for my needs I chose this item because there are Latex non-slip pads and Silicon pads. The silicone pads have been described by some as "almost too much adhesion". BTW, one of the three "Rated Features" is adhesion, which I gave 5 stars because this item provided me with both examples allowing me to learn which style works for what need. The latex pads are non-slip and did a great job where I used them like under my desktop keyboard and note pad. Both had started to slide around recently. There is a picture in the information area for this item of a black pad on a curved dashboard with the phone resting on the curve too. No way that phone is going to stay there!The silicon pads have adhesion. I used one of these pads in a boat to "hold" my cell phone in place on a downward sloped surface while on a several hours long trip. The trip was in 2-foot close chop sea conditions. The phone never loosened. At the end of the day I had to leverage (pry with mild force) the phone off the pad. That's exactly what I had hoped for, stick it in place and have it stay there!Delighted with this purchase!
